I am throwing it all the way back to June 6 2015, when my husband and I were married at the Don Cesar in St. Pete Beach, Florida! My wedding was basically a magical fairytale at a pink palace – I am so grateful to everyone who helped make it the perfect day! I am going to break it all down – it may or may not be in order of importance 😉 All photos in this post are by Stephanie A. Smith, our adorable and talented wedding photographer!
Fashion: My gown was by Watters. I was reallllyyyyy selective when dress shopping and didn’t find anything that fit my every requirement – so I ended up having the dress I chose altered quite a bit. In retrospect, this wasn’t the best decision – I had to make MANY trips out of town and spent a lot of money on alterations. In the end, I loved the back of the dress, but not so much the front. The dress also became quite fragile from all of the alterations, so I got a second casual BCBG dress for the reception. I would have loved to have had something custom made, or even to have just kept looking for the perfect gown, BUT I do have some amazing pictures that I love featuring the back of my dress, so it all worked out in the end. My shoes were Badgley Mischka and jewelry was Kate Spade.
The bridesmaids all wore different white Alfred Sung gowns, a la the Kardashian sisters in the West wedding (remember – this was 2015!). They also wore Kate Spade statement jewelry. The men wore light grey tuxedos in keeping with the wedding’s color palette of white, ivory, champagne gold and light grey.
Glam: I chose a simple low bun for my hair, and this exact makeup look I found on Pinterest. Glam was by the staff at the Don Cesar Salon. I have to give them props – when I had my trial I was not at all happy with how it turned out. But, via lots of e-mail communication and specific instructions (including a contouring tutorial), they nailed the look on the big day. I was really happy with it!
Venue: All festivities were held at the iconic Don Cesar on the Gulf Coast of Florida. It is an absolutely stunning venue, with gorgeous architecture and lots of history. We hosted a beachside welcome party/rehearsal dinner, outdoor ceremony, rooftop cocktail hour, ballroom reception and beachside farewell brunch all at the venue. Everything from the service to the amenities to the food and drink was outstanding!
Vendors: The vendors listed below were all excellent. I would highly recommend each of them!
